Every year, we carefully select a theme or region of Latin America with a deep connection to the traditions and cultural significance of Day of the Dead. This year’s theme is inspired by Tlaxcala, a region rich in history, Indigenous heritage, and vibrant traditions. Through its unique customs, colors, and symbolism, we celebrate the memories of those who came before us while honoring the enduring connection between past and present.

The German Holiday Market recreates the jovial atmosphere of a traditional open-air, European winter market on Mountain View's City Hall Plaza. Shop for unique, handcrafted gifts from Germany and local artisans: Wood ornaments and nutcrackers from Germany, Lebkuchen (gingerbread), Stollen, chocolate, toys, ceramics, and knitwear. Taste traditional German sausages and pretzels and warm up with a mug of Glühwein (warm mulled wine), the hallmark of these winter markets. The German Holiday Market offers plenty of activities for the entire family, including live performances and arts and crafts.
