Outside Eats · Peninsula Passport
Eat your way across the Peninsula. Collect the stamps.
Every restaurant on Outside Eats can stamp your Passport. Check in from your table in the app and a dated stamp lands in your book. Join a campaign, snap your plate, climb a public leaderboard and win real prizes.
Live now
One passport is live right now.
Check in at the stops in the app, collect stamps and climb the board. Every passport has its own prizes.
How a check in works
Three taps at the table
Check ins live in the Outside Eats app for iPhone and Android. Your phone's location does the proving, so there is nothing to scan and nothing to ask the staff.
Open the restaurant, tap Check in
Get within a few hundred feet while the restaurant is open. Precise location on, and you are in.
Your stamp lands
A dated stamp with the restaurant's name mints into your Passport. The first ten members ever to stamp a place earn its gold founder ring.
Snap your plate, if you like
Adding a photo of your meal is optional, and it is shared only with you and your friends. Snap a new one every visit and we keep them all, so you never forget what you had last time.
Campaigns
Stops, points, a public board, real prizes
A campaign is a set of restaurant stops and a date range. Stamp the stops during the campaign and every stamp scores points. Finish the set and the full Passport bonus lands on top.
Points
Every campaign stamp scores. Your first visit ever to a stop scores extra, a featured stop carries a bonus, and completing the whole set pays the biggest bonus of all. Exact numbers are on each campaign page.
Leaderboard
The board is public and updates the moment a stamp lands. Display name and photo only. Members can hide themselves from boards in the app's settings.
Prizes and winners
Some campaigns recognize the top of the board, some draw from everyone who finished, some do both. The prize is on the campaign page. Past winners live on the winners page.
Trophies
Ten Passport trophies to chase
Stamps feed your trophy case in the app. A few of them take a season to earn.
Your photos are yours
Adding a photo of your meal is optional, and it is shared only with you and your friends, never used for promotion. Snap a new one every visit and we keep them all, so you never forget what you had last time.
Fair play
- One stamp per restaurant per day, up to four check ins a day, with a short wait between them.
- Check ins count while the restaurant is open.
- Precise location is required. Check ins that look off are reviewed by a person.
Friends
Friends see each other's Passports and plate photos, and the app shows who was first to a place you both found. Add friends from your account page.
