Mom-and-pop gelateria in downtown Half Moon Bay making gelato, sorbet and waffle cones in-house daily.
Gulino Gelato was opened in downtown Half Moon Bay in 2019 by Jean-Paul Gulino, who grew up in Nice, studied gelato-making at a school in Bologna and trained under a French pastry chef. Every batch of gelato is made from scratch in the shop, with fruit sourced from a nearby farm. Flavors include fior di latte, pistachio and dulce de leche, plus dairy-free sorbets such as blackberry and red tart cherry. Waffle cones are also made in-house, and the shop offers catering.
