Gochi Japanese Fusion Tapas is a Japanese restaurant in Mountain View, California.
Gochi takes its name from slang for gochisou, a treat or hearty meal. Chef Masahiko Takei, known as Masa, cooked in the Bay Area for more than 15 years before opening the first Gochi in Cupertino in October 2005, and the Mountain View restaurant followed. The menu is built on a wide range of a la carte dishes that fall outside the usual entree format, meant to be ordered several at a time and shared family style, and paired with an extensive selection of sake and shochu. Masa sketched the original interior himself, and the staff took part in the painting and decoration.
