More than 550 board games line the shelves at Plucky's Cafe in Burlingame, which serves breakfast through dinner alongside third wave coffee. Espresso beans are roasted locally by Soul Grind, the house drip uses Philippine Barako beans, and Barebottle beer pours on tap next to wine, ciders, and soju cocktails. The kitchen turns out smoked salmon toast, a chicken sandwich panini, and a farmer's market salad. Laptops are welcome on weekday mornings only, with evenings and weekends kept screen free by design.
