Il Fornaio is an Italian restaurant in Mountain View, California.
Il Fornaio traces its start to a 1972 baking school in Lombardia, followed by a Milan bakery in 1975, American bakeries in San Francisco and Beverly Hills in 1981, and the first full-service restaurant in Corte Madera in 1987. Mountain View is one of 18 locations across California and Las Vegas, all supervised by Sicilian executive chef Roberto Gerbino, who works from multi-generational family recipes. Since 1995 the company has run Festa Regionale, a monthly celebration of the food and wine of a different Italian region. The restaurants received a 2019 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and the 2014 Marchio Q, the Mark of Italian Hospitality.
