The Empanadas King is a family-owned business founded in 2007, and its empanadas follow a traditional family recipe handed down from ancestors who filled the turnovers by hand. Beyond empanadas, the Redwood City kitchen turns out gourmet pizzas such as the King Luau and King Garden, Argentine sandwiches named for Messi and Maradona, and Parrilla The King, a tabletop grill platter of skirt steak, bone-in short rib, house chorizo, morcilla, mollejas and chinchulines. An Argentine food market section rounds out the shop.
