Cozy downtown wine bar open until midnight with a curated global wine list, tapas-style bites, and a welcoming Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere ideal for after-dinner drinks.
Michael Garcia opened The Wine Room as a downtown Palo Alto lounge built around a list that spans California, France, Italy, Spain, and beyond at a range of price points, poured by the glass or the bottle. Small plates include charcuterie, burrata with tomato confit, a Spanish tapeo plate of manchego and prosciutto, beef empanadas, and a pressed pastrami melt. Desserts run to chocolate hazelnut napoleon and twice-baked cheesecake. The room is pitched as an unpretentious retreat for a more sophisticated crowd.
