Halal Indian cuisine featuring Dosa, Appam, Biryani and kebabs from diverse regions with authentic spice balanced flavors.
Varam gives Indian dining on Broadway in Redwood City a particularly wide range of regional and contemporary choices. Biryanis feature prominently, including chicken dum, mutton, paneer, shrimp, and gongura chicken variations. We like how that depth sits alongside South Indian chicken curry, Andhra goat curry, and vegetable dishes with their own distinct flavors. Bagara baingan brings eggplant together with coconut, peanuts, sesame, and tamarind, while methi malai mutter saag combines spinach, peas, and fenugreek. More contemporary dishes include ricotta-spinach samosas, truffle paneer, and curry-leaf-crusted prawns. The drinks continue the variety with lassi, masala chai, South Indian filter coffee, and falooda. Varam is appealing for a meal that can follow a familiar curry-and-biryani path or branch into dishes that reinterpret Indian ingredients in a different presentation.
