Steins Beer Garden & Restaurant opened on Villa Street in Mountain View in 2013, after one founder's trip to Germany. Thirty-one taps rotate between craft pours and classic German lagers, and the scratch kitchen sends out baked wings, ahi tuna nachos, giant soft pretzels, pork schnitzel with spatzle, and lobster linguine. The outdoor space, hung with string lights and heaters over long communal tables, is what regulars call the secret garden.
