Sugar Cinns

Dessert, Food Trucks$

A Belmont cottage bakery creating the Original Homespun — a moist, scratch-made treat born from the love of muffins and donuts — available for order and at select Peninsula cafes.

Sugar Cinns is a permitted San Mateo County Class B cottage bakery based in Belmont, born in 2020 when what started as a bread baking and cinnamon roll hobby quickly became a full baking business. The signature creation is the Homespun — an original recipe that owner Sugar Cinns describes as the golden child of a muffin and a donut. It is not a cupcake, not a cake, and not a traditional muffin. It is moist, simple, and made entirely from scratch. Homespuns come in eleven flavors including maple, chocolate, lemon, mini chocolate chip, cookies and cream, pumpkin spice, funfetti, and the Dotspun — a dot cake styled Homespun topped with maple or chocolate glaze. Bundt cakes in the same flavors are also available. All products are ordered by the dozen and available for pickup directly from Belmont or through a rotating network of Peninsula café partners who receive fresh weekly deliveries: Pacific Java Cafe in Pacifica, Caffeinated Cowboy in San Mateo, Woodside Deli in Redwood City, The Yard Coffee in Redwood City, and Bianchini's Markets in San Carlos. Pop up dates and locations are announced on Instagram at @sugarcinns. Beyond retail orders, Sugar Cinns offers full event catering and a vintage P10 dessert truck rental available for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, and community gatherings throughout San Mateo County.
