oot Sweet Frozen Yogurt at 1148 San Carlos Avenue has been a downtown San Carlos fixture since June 2010, when the woman-run shop opened in the heart of the city. More than 15 years later it remains a neighborhood go-to for families, kids, and anyone with a serious sweet tooth.
The shop runs five self-serve machines with rotating flavors that change weekly and seasonally alongside a set of permanent favorites. The Original Tart is the longstanding crowd favorite, with Rich Chocolate, Red Velvet, Watermelon Sorbet, and unique options like lychee and pineapple rounding out a lineup that goes well beyond standard froyo fare. The toppings bar covers fresh fruits, mochi, popping boba, candies, chocolates, and nuts. Beyond the froyo machines, the full menu includes gelato, ice cream, sorbets, milkshakes, smoothies, frozen hot chocolates, cappuccino, yogurt pies, and sliced cakes including German chocolate and Red Velvet. Dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free options are available throughout. Indoor and outdoor seating are both offered. Open daily from 1 PM to 9 PM.
