Authentic German pastries and traditional dishes served daily with a welcoming beer garden and outdoor patio.
Esther's German Bakery opened in 2004 when Esther Nio set out to share German flavors and traditions with the Bay Area, and the Los Altos operation is now run by longtime cook Alex Otero and his wife Maribel, who kept the original recipes. Breakfast, brunch and lunch are served in a cafe with a beer garden and patio. Dishes include the D'Lox Omelet, jagerschnitzel, a beef stew with ribbon pasta in sour cream and a sausage plate with potato salad and red cabbage, plus German pastries.
