All-day breakfast and brunch kitchen connected to Little Sky Bakery with seasonal California dishes, fresh pastries, and specialty coffee in a warm neighborhood setting.
Little Sky Kitchen makes its bread an essential part of the meal. The Menlo Park kitchen uses house-baked, wild-yeasted doughs across a menu of sandwiches, pizzette, and Asian stuffed buns. We like how the bread changes with the filling, from seeded ficelle with house-cured lox and scallion cream cheese to a challah bun with chicken curry Waldorf salad. A croque monsieur layers ham and aged cheddar on country sourdough, while the Green Eggs & Ham starts with a spinach scone containing Parmesan, feta, and pine nuts. Pizzette include artichoke with walnut pesto and sausage with vegetables and ricotta. Stuffed bun plates bring pork and shrimp, chicken and shiitake, or tofu and shiitake into the selection, with slaws and sauces alongside. Little Sky Kitchen is appealing for this unusually broad expression of a bakery's craft, turning different breads and doughs into complete savory meals.
