Award-winning salsa bar honored year after year at California State Fair.
Founded in 1985 and born in San Francisco, Pancho Villa brings its taqueria tradition to San Mateo with super burritos, tacos, and a salsa bar. The restaurant states its salsas have taken top honors at the California State Fair year after year, and that they are hand-prepared daily with roasted chiles, chopped tomatoes, and squeezed citrus. Aguas frescas including horchata, jamaica, tamarindo, and seasonal fruit blends are made fresh with real fruit. Catering and online ordering for pickup or delivery round out the dine-in service.
