Yumi Yogurt at 1019 El Camino Real in Redwood City is the newest location from the same family-run operation behind the San Mateo flagship, which has been a Peninsula institution since 1985. The Redwood City shop follows the same formula — daily-rotating soft serve yogurt flavors announced each morning, a wide selection of named ice cream flavors, and a full toppings bar — but with its own menu lineup that runs notably deep. The ice cream selection at this location spans over 40 named flavors with a particular strength in creative and culturally diverse builds: ube macapuno with coconut shavings, saffron pistachio ice cream (also known as Bastani Safrani), horchata cajeta, Manila mango with mango sorbet swirls, Café Caramelo with macadamia and toasted coconut, pink salted caramel from Hawaiian pink salt, Kona coffee, and blueberry lemon cookie with Oreo lemon cookies. The sorbet lineup offers dairy-free options including locally sourced passion fruit, limoncello, coconut, blue raspberry, and a rainbow sorbet blending raspberry, passion fruit, and coconut. Seasonal flavors rotate through pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin mascarpone, eggnog, and peppermint stick. Online ordering for pickup is available. Open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM.
