Zareen's serves Pakistani and Indian halal cooking, with a Redwood City location alongside Palo Alto, Mountain View and Sunnyvale. MICHELIN Guide inspectors singled out the chicken Memoni samosas, made from a recipe the restaurant says is known to only a select number of grandmothers worldwide, and the chicken shami kebabs served over basmati rice. The business grew out of Curry Village Foods, started in 2010 after founder Zareen left a corporate career, and it still caters office lunches and events.
