A Burlingame outpost of the SF Mediterranean kitchen serving house-made falafel, beef and chicken shish kebab, gyro plates, grilled salmon, hummus, and stuffed grape leaves daily from 11 AM.
Mesopotamia Kitchen at 1232 Broadway in Burlingame is the second location from the team behind the well-reviewed Noe Valley original in San Francisco. The kitchen is led by a chef with 23 years of experience cooking in the Bay Area and Europe, and the menu reflects a focused commitment to Mediterranean and Middle Eastern classics done well — no shortcuts on marinating times, house-made dips, and fresh ingredients throughout.
The menu centers on combination plates that come with rice, salad, hummus, tahini sauce, and pita bread. Signature items include the beef shish kebab (48-hour marinated grilled beef cubes), chicken shish kebab, adana kebab (ground lamb), lamb beef gyro, and a chicken pita wrap with garlic sauce and fries. Grilled salmon is available as a plate or wrap. Falafel is served with salad and baba ganoush. Starters and sides include stuffed grape leaves (dolma), hummus, house salad, French fries, and rice. Turkish delight is offered for dessert, and a kids menu is available. Catering platters serving 10 are offered for events. Online ordering available for pickup and delivery.
