Oren's Hummus opened its original shop in Palo Alto and has been a Bay Area fixture since 2011, growing to several locations while serving Israeli and Mediterranean food. Pita and hummus are prepared fresh several times a day, and the kitchen uses Angus beef, all-natural chicken, organic eggs, and produce sourced mostly from local family farms. Many ingredients, tahini among them, are imported from the Mediterranean. The company also composts organic waste and recycles oil and paper products.
