The Bay Area's only Georgian restaurant, famous for wood-fired khachapuri cheese boats and hand-rolled khinkali dumplings.
Bevri opened in downtown Palo Alto in 2018 as the Bay Area's first Georgian restaurant, taking its name from the Georgian word for a lot. Khachapuri adjaruli comes from the wood-fired oven as a boat of cheese bread finished with butter and an egg, and khinkali soup dumplings are folded by hand. Other plates include pkhali of baby spinach and beet with walnuts, and chicken tapaka pressed and pan-fried for crisp skin. A wine wall holds Georgian bottles made in qvevri, and the restaurant runs on a tip-free model.
