Tacos Al Vapor Michoacan brings the variety of a taco truck menu to a Main Street storefront in Los Altos. Carne asada and al pastor are easy starting points, but cabeza, lengua, chicharrón, and suadero give a mixed taco order more possibilities. We like the opportunity to compare a few different fillings instead of committing to just one. The selection extends into tortas, burritos, quesadillas, and sopes, with carnitas, chorizo, and chicken among the available options. Quesabirria offers another direction, while a torta Cubana makes a more substantial handheld meal. A self-serve salsa bar adds a personal finishing touch. The restaurant's appeal is its combination of a straightforward counter-service format and a broad range of Mexican fillings, making a quick taco stop feel like an invitation to try something different.
