Beloved taqueria since 1985 with Jalisco-inspired recipes, free all-you-can-eat chips and salsa bar, and generous portions.
Tres Amigos opened in Half Moon Bay on March 23, 1985, started by three friends who emigrated from San Jose de Gracia in Jalisco, Mexico, and the recipes follow the taqueros who set up booths in that town's plaza. The Tres Amigos Especial combines a chile relleno, tamale, and enchilada with rice, beans, sour cream, and guacamole, and other plates include camarones a la diabla, the fajita salad, and a pollo asado Caesar. Daily specials rotate through chimichangas, enchiladas verdes, and tortilla soup, and family-sized packages are made for groups.
