Telefèric Barcelona Palo Alto

Spanish$$$

Palo Alto's original Spanish restaurant at Town and Country Village, with seven paella varieties, 200-plus Spanish wines, hand-carved jamón ibérico, and private dining near Stanford.

Telefèric Barcelona began as a Padrosa family restaurant in Spain in 1992 and now runs nine locations in the United States, including one in Palo Alto near Stanford. Tapas include patatas bravas, pan con tomate, XO crab croquetas topped with tuna sashimi, and Pulpo Telefèric, grilled Spanish octopus with potato cream and pimentón. Paellas are cooked to order in six versions, among them lobster, squid-ink negra, mixta, and a plant-based veggie pan. The wine list runs past 200 Spanish bottles.
