Tucked on Skyline Boulevard with sweeping Bay Area views, this American steakhouse is a go-to...
The Mountain House began in the early 1900s as a water pump station serving Kings Mountain homesteads before becoming a public house and, later, a restaurant and bar. It sits among redwoods on Skyline Boulevard in Woodside and positions itself as a gathering place for the Skyline neighborhood and the greater Bay Area. Dinner includes a chef's tasting menu, and the bar keeps separate lists for wine, cocktails, spirits, and after-dinner drinks. A wine club is also offered.
