Open in San Mateo since December 2014, Apple Fritter is a small cafe that is locally owned and operated. The menu runs from simple breakfast plates to donut burgers, fruity pebble shakes, churro french toast, and a vegetarian breakfast burrito called the hipsterito. The owners designed the interior themselves, including taco shaped windows and a television playing classics. Fritters tend to sell out on weekends.
