Canyon Inn opened in June 1973 and has had the same proprietor, Tim Harrison, since the start. The site traces its path from a small out-of-the-way burger joint to a 49ers hangout and then to the family friendly neighborhood gathering spot it is now, a history covered by outlets including the New York Times and SFGate. The kitchen serves burgers, wraps, salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, and Mexican food, and the patio can be reserved for parties. Regular entertainment includes a monthly Elvis lunch show and a juggler on Tuesday evenings.
