Hawaiian-Asian fusion built on Hawaiian family recipes is the focus at Noelani's Island Grill, run by owner and mixologist Noelani Maestrini and marking 13 years in San Carlos. Kalua pork tacos and bowls, shaka chicken, ahi spicy poke, chicken katsu, spam musubi, tsunami fries and malasadas run across the menu. Tropical decor sets the room, with live music on Friday and Saturday nights and at Sunday brunch. The restaurant has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle and was a Viewer's Choice winner on Taste TV.
