Family-owned Singaporean kitchen serving authentic chili crab, laksa, and satay from recipes brought over from Singapore in 1999.
Shiok Singapore Kitchen was established in 1999 as a 16-seat storefront on Laurel Street in San Carlos, then moved to Menlo Park six months later for more space and a longer menu. The kitchen turns out chicken satay, Singapore chicken rice, roti prata, beef rendang, laksa noodles, char kway teow, Hokkien mee, and nasi lemak, plus a dish listed as Grandma's Curry Chicken. The dining room is described as intimate but lively and family friendly, and the restaurant has marked 25 years in business.
