Palo Alto Weekly Best Mexican winner with inventive Mexico City inspired tacos, carnitas, and craft cocktails in an intimate setting.
Sun of Wolf is run by four Bay Area cousins whose grandparents emigrated from Mexico in 1977 carrying family recipes rooted in Puebla. The seasonal menu draws on the flavors of Jalisco and the eclectic cooking of Mexico City, executed by chefs Efrain Montano and Paulina Sol. Dishes are built on locally sourced ingredients, hand-pressed tortillas, and house-baked bread. The Palo Alto space is intimate, with cocktails at dinner and brunch on weekends.
