David Kassouf opened The Sandwich Spot in Redwood City in May 2011, and the Broadway shop grew into a local hangout as much as a deli. The numbered menu runs to dozens of hot and cold sandwiches, among them The Taste of Broadway, The Smokin' Sequoia, The Pastrami Mami and The Rockin' Reuben, alongside Moe's Fries and green and Greek salads. There is indoor and patio seating, a hookah menu and a bar in the evening, plus catering and party bookings.
