A Palo Alto institution since 1923 with made-from-scratch milkshakes, burgers, waffles, and all-American fountain treats served by authentic soda jerks.
Palo Alto Creamery opened in 1923 and says it has served five generations of customers on a philosophy of simple food done well. Breakfast runs all day alongside burgers built on a third of a pound of fresh hormone-free beef, sandwiches, and house-made pies and croissants. Fountain treats including milk shakes, banana splits, and sundaes are made by what the restaurant calls authentic soda jerks, with ice cream flavors such as burgundy cherry, toffee butter crunch, and mint chip. Sister restaurants include Reposado, Scratch in Mountain View, and British Bankers Club in Menlo Park.
